Charlotte runs to Meier Link who has emerged from his carriage before dark to try to reclaim her from the bounty hunters. He is shot repeatedly with arrows and is partially burned by the sun. As Charlotte reaches him, Meier Link slumps into her arms. When this cel is shown in the scene, there is a special effect of fire and smoke over part of it. This cel came from Asylum Anime who had several cels from this sequence, The lighting on this scene is incredible! Unfortunately, our scanner tends to darken images so some of the detail is difficult to see in the scan.
